Kelsey’s Chocolate Banana Protein Smoothie

Makes 1 smoothie

 

Ingredients

  • 1 large banana, peeled, chopped and frozen
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or any milk or milk substitute)*
  • 1 scoop chocolate protein powder (Vega Sport/Biosteel Whey/ Vegan Biosteel)
  • 1 Tbsp peanut butter
  • 1 Tbsp psyllium husk (fibre supplement)

Preparation

  1. Chop banana a day before and freeze overnight.
  2. Blend all ingredients together in a high powered blender.
  3. Add water (if necessary) to create desired consistency
  4. Enjoy!

*If using almond milk, add an extra 1/3 scoop protein powder or 1/3 cup plain Greek yogurt, as almond milk contains little protein.
