Susan’s Dragonfruit Power Smoothie

Makes 1 smoothie

Ingredients

  • ½ cup persimmon, peeled, cubed and frozen
  • ½ cup dragon fruit, peeled, cubed and frozen
  • ½ large (or 1 small) banana, peeled and frozen
  • 1 cup 1% milk (can substitute unsweetened almond milk)*
  • ½ cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds (or ground flax seed)

Preparation

  1. Prepare fresh fruit a day before and freeze overnight.
  2. Blend all ingredients together in a high powered blender.
  3. Add water (if necessary) to create desired consistency.
  4. Enjoy!

*If using almond milk, add an extra 1/3 scoop protein powder or 1/3 cup plain Greek yogurt, as almond milk contains little protein.
