Bright, bold, and a little spicy, these Lime Sriracha Roasted Chickpeas are a simple way to add crunch and flavour to your day. With the perfect balance of zesty lime, subtle sweetness, and gentle heat, they make a satisfying snack or a fun topping for salads and bowls. Easy to prep and packed with fibre and protein, this recipe turns a humble pantry staple into something crave-worthy and versatile.
Makes 5 servings (3 tbsp per serving)
Ingredients
1 can (540 mL) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
1 tsp sriracha sauce
2 tsp honey
1 tsp olive oil
1 tbsp fresh lime juice
Dash chili powder
Preparation
Preheat oven to 425°F. Dry and remove outer skins of chickpeas by gently rolling chickpeas between two pieces of paper towel.
In a medium bowl, combine sriracha, honey, olive oil, lime juice and chili powder. Add chickpeas and stir to coat evenly.
Spread chickpeas in a single layer on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet.
Bake for 15 minutes. Shake pan gently to move chickpeas around. Continue baking until golden and slightly charred, about 15 – 20 minutes. Watch closely for the last few minutes to ensure chickpeas do not burn.
Allow to cool completely in pan, then transfer to an airtight container. Chickpeas should remain crispy if used within a few days.
Serve and enjoy!
Note: Roasted chickpeas may be frozen. To reheat, spread chickpeas on a baking sheet and roast at 425°F until they are heated through and crispy, about 5 – 7 minutes.
